Day 1 forecasts are issued five times<br \/>\ndaily: 06z (around midnight), 13z (around sunrise), 1630z (mid-morning), 20z (mid-afternoon), and 01z (early evening).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th style=\"padding: 10px 12px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top; white-space: nowrap; border-bottom: 1px solid #ddd;\">Day 2<\/th>\n<td style=\"padding: 10px 12px; border-bottom: 1px solid #ddd;\">Day 2 continues from the end of Day 1 (tomorrow morning) for the next 24 hours. Issued twice daily: 07z (around<br \/>\nmidnight) and 1730z (around noon).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"background: #f4f4f4;\">\n<th style=\"padding: 10px 12px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top; white-space: nowrap; border-bottom: 1px solid #ddd;\">Day 3<\/th>\n<td style=\"padding: 10px 12px; border-bottom: 1px solid #ddd;\">The forecast for the subsequent 24 hours. Day 3 forecasts are issued daily by 0830z on standard time and 0730z on<br \/>\ndaylight time (after midnight).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th style=\"padding: 10px 12px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top; white-space: nowrap;\">Days 4\u20138<\/th>\n<td style=\"padding: 10px 12px;\">A severe weather area depicted in the Day 4\u20138 period (issued at 10z, early morning) indicates a 30% or higher probability of severe<br \/>\nthunderstorms (a 30% chance that a severe thunderstorm will occur within 25 miles of any point).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h2>Severe Weather Outlook Risk Categories<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> The severe weather outlook graphics display up to six color categories reflecting an increasing likelihood and\/or severity of severe weather.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"border-left: 8px solid #C1E9C1; background: #fafafa; padding: 14px 18px; margin: 14px 0; border-radius: 0 4px 4px 0;\">\n<h3 style=\"margin-top: 0;\">General Thunderstorms<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0;\">The light green shading depicts a 10% or higher probability of non-severe or near-severe thunderstorms during the valid period.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"border-left: 8px solid #009900; background: #fafafa; padding: 14px 18px; margin: 14px 0; border-radius: 0 4px 4px 0;\">\n<h3 style=\"margin-top: 0;\">Severe Category 1 \u2013 Marginal (MRGL)<\/h3>\n<p>The dark green shading indicates a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms during the forecast period. This means a:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-bottom: 0;\">\n<li>10% probability of any tornado, with or without a 10% or greater probability of an EF2+ tornado, or<\/li>\n<li>15% probability of any tornado, or<\/li>\n<li>30% severe hail or severe wind probability, with or without a 10% or greater probability of hail 2&#8243; or larger or wind gusts 75 mph or greater, or<\/li>\n<li>45% probability of severe hail or wind<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"border-left: 8px solid #FF0033; background: #fafafa; padding: 14px 18px; margin: 14px 0; border-radius: 0 4px 4px 0;\">\n<h3 style=\"margin-top: 0;\">Severe Category 4 \u2013 Moderate (MDT)<\/h3>\n<p>The red shaded area indicates a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms.
