\n “W”, excluding names beginning with “Q” or “U.”<\/span>A storm is first named by the National Hurricane Center<\/a> when the system becomes a tropical storm. The name remains as it develops into a
\n hurricane or until it dissipates. The most devastating names are retired and replaced.<\/span><\/div>\n
