Authoritative Source

Hour-by-hour forecast alerts to meet many needs. iAlert has been delivering forecast and alert notification services for nearly two decades.

How It Works

Your hourly forecast alert, sent when your threshold is reached.

  1. 01

    Generated

A 36-hour forecast is continually generated and checked against the thresholds you set. Temperature, wind chill, heat index, dew point, wind, and relative humidity are all in scope.

  2. 02

    Localized

Forecast data is specific to your city or town, down to the hour.

  3. 03

    Delivery

When a threshold is met, an alert is sent to you by email or text. No threshold crossed, no alert sent.

Questions, answered

Before you subscribe.

How often do alerts go out?
An alert goes out each time the 36-hour forecast is checked and a threshold crossing is detected. The forecast is checked every hour. If no thresholds are crossed, no alert is sent. On active weather days you may receive multiple alerts; on quiet days, none.
Can I monitor more than one variable at a time?
Yes. Each of the six tracked variables can have its own threshold: temperature, wind chill, heat index, dew point, wind, and relative humidity. Alerts fire independently for each, so a single active weather event can trigger several alerts across different variables.
How current is the forecast behind each alert?
The system checks the most current 36-hour forecast every hour. Each alert reflects the forecast as it stood at the moment the threshold crossing was detected, so the data behind every alert is never more than an hour old.
Does it work everywhere in the U.S.?
Yes, across all 50 states. The location list covers 30,000+ U.S. cities and towns. Set a location and thresholds are monitored and alerts triggered for that location.
Can I stack this with other iAlert services?
Yes. Add the service to your cart and log in when prompted during checkout. Once signup is complete, you can immediately configure Hourly Forecast Alerts for your locations. Many users subscribe to multiple iAlert services to meet their needs.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from your iAlert account. The subscription ends at the close of the current billing month and no further charges occur.
