iAlert is a U.S. weather service, owned and operated by a former National Weather Service and NASA meteorologist. The business runs two complementary product lines: a subscriber alert service for individuals, businesses, and government, and a developer API for the systems that depend on real-time weather data.

Mark McInerney began as an operational National Weather Service forecaster, then built warning-dissemination systems at NOAA’s Meteorological Development Laboratory. At NASA, he led Earth science initiatives at Goddard Space Flight Center, including the systems engineering behind Earth science mission data, earning NASA’s Exceptional Service and Exceptional Engineering Achievement Medals. His work leading the NWS warning program earned the Isaac M. Cline Award, the agency’s highest honor. iAlert grew directly out of that work.
